Right, well a really good weekend again - the usual winning formula - car, beers and damn good company!

Earpl arrived around 1.30 and we did McDs, immediately after we had Chris Canavan and Andy, closely followed by Jaxx and Tegan. We headed onto the Pod in two cars and parked up as near the entrance as possible for say 4.30pm.

The bonfire was huge - you could feel the heat 100s of feet away - and we treated ourselves to the usual selection of burgers etc.

Hooked up with Dave and girlfriend - good to meet you mate. Were also meant to meet Ken but he'd had enough by that stage?

But - the weather mean that the jet cars could only demo - not run at full chat along with the trucks etc... We then watched the whole monster truck and air baloon thing until we realised that the weather was gonna nail it one way or another.

We bailed out and headed back to the Village (sorry - small market town) of Rothwell and did the beer thing - retiring to the pub when I ran out!

A few rounds later it was kebabs and micky taking half the night before the stragglers turned in for 4am!

Waking up - I opened the curtains to see the 'Toyota Car Park'

Bacon sarnies were the only cure ...

but not for some who needed yet more sleep to recover!

- so all in all a good day - and ... lets do it all again folks!

Right this is my week and at Santa Pod, If it sounds/Reads a bit strange it's because I blocked some of it out. Or can't remember it from lack of sleep.

I did plan to meet up with you guys but by the time the tens were up and we found our way out of the field it was to late. lol

There was one big traffic jam on the way out near the bonfire. By the time I got round there must of been about 9 or 10.

People just abandoned there cars, after about an hour.

I camped with a load of Peugeot - PGAC lot, Saturday was dry well until we all got in our tents. Then all hell broke loose (Weather Wise).

At four o'clock me and my mate (Wayne) got in his car. The best three hours sleep of the night.

In the morning a grabbed a Sausage and Egg Bap, Then of back to Oxford.

I paid for weekend tickets and didn't really get full use of them.

I got home about 12:00 then had the best bath I have ever had. (mmmmm nice and warm)

Got back a couple of hours ago from clarkys - have to say big thanks to him and kate - for your hospitalty - oh and rufus aswell :P

Had a really good weekend, the pod was great - the jet truck was awesome and the monster truck! B)

The mud wasnt though! Had to try and save my new boots from too much mud abuse! :D

All in all a brill weekend - oh and chris your car is.... well .....very empty (and fast! took me a while to get used to driving one again!)

great weekend!

first of all a very big thank you to Lorne and Kate for the hospitality! Truely superb people! Excellent bacon sarnies, thanks for the beers and just generally being a top larf!

Sorry about the mud on the mats though Lorne!

ive got some shots and some videos of the RC drifitng ill see about getting them up!

cheers again for a mega weekend, even if we didnt get to the pod itslef much!

and yeah it was a kind of shock to roll to the slumper at 4am, after the conversation moved to 'random crap' aided with whisky everyone bar me and earpl seemed to make a prompt retirement!

well it was really nice to see everyone again. i have to say after last nights little drinkin session i was feelin a little rough this mornin. but it was great to get together again. Santa Pod is goin to become my second home soon, ive been that many times.

i have to say I LOVE JET CARS. they put a on a great show. and tegan ur a wimp for not walkin down that hill :P

Well it was my 1st time at the pod and it was amazing!

It was a last minute thing but im glad I went ........ I have a few pic's and alot of video's I'll post later!

The Jet powered beetle was amazing and so LOUD!

It was good to see some new faces and some old ones too (earlp & Chris) :P !

However

It took me 2 Hours to get out of the car park because some chav in his ford escort had driven into a ditch ....... but the time past itself wheel spinning and sliding in the mud :D !

However my car is filthy!

Overall it was a top night !

LMAO my car was filthy and i didn't even drive it there :P Rob get the drifting up!!!!!! yep cheers lorne&kate!!!! + it didn't feel like me and rob were up till after 4........... such a good time :)

First i would just like to say that anyone that has a weekend ticket can use it at any rwyb day in 2006 as sunday was a total washout :(

Saturday was ok but because of the kids get in free offer plus only a tenner after 2pm for adults it started to get rammed by 4pm so as i know what a nightmare it is to get out of the pod so made a quick retreat as the only thing left that i hadn't seen was the fireworks
