I have just raed Daz's thread and thought I'd introduce you lot to skype! Basically its a messaging service which is free where you can message people like MSN but also call people for free and speak to them through your computer(helpfull if you need to explain something complicated). You can have conference calls with multiusers. If you dont have a mic do that old trick of plugging headphones in the mic jack. You have to download it but dont worry once thats done there are no nasty pop ups or messages.

Give it a go you might just like it!

I use skype a bit too, sound is clear, although i have experienced a few problems when chatting to someone with a slow internet connection

ok downloaded it but havent got a microphone,how do you do that thing you said red?

Plug any headphones into the mic jack on your PC/Laptop and do the sound test! My mechanic mate in Denmark talks me through jobs on my car, get alot of funny looks but wtf!

ok got it working,but i have to shout just to hear myself on the playback hahaha.might invest in a setup like the bird on that ad.

how far away are the headphones? I just hang them round my neck and it sounds fine?

Yeah i tried them just round the neck,but think having one like the call centres might be better,altough not sure if i will even use it.

Give it a try and then decide, once a few mates join up and you have your first conference call thing, then choose! I buzz of it! As you probably tell!

hahaha just had a conference call,but as my earphones are microphone are shocking they couldnt hear me to well lol.

I've been using skype for ages, my better half's parents live in Canada and she calls them every night for free!

Sound quality is excellent and never had any probs with connection or anything else.
