Toyota Sat Nav

A friend of mine crashed his Landcruiser LC5 and it is now going for breaking. He has taken the Sat Nav Unit out of the dash and is giving it to me to put into my 2006 LC3, but the Sat Nav discs have been lost somewhere along the line. If I buy new discs will it simply be a matter of plug and play or will it not be that simple?

I put a used Satnav out of a Corolla into a RAV4 and it was Plug and play. Just find the connectors behind the dash and plug in. Maybe you need new or modify the brackets to mount it.

New navigation DVD you can buy at your local Toyota dealer.

Make sure you get all the wiring from the rear of the LC. There will be 2 wires that may not be part of your loom. Speed signal (violet i think) and another (cant remember what its for but i think it is red wire)

Without these wires connected the SATNAV wont work.

It ended up being a simple enough job, in fact getting the disc was the hardest part. One question though, is there a specific place for the Sat Nav antenna to go or will it do anywhere on the roof?
