  1. Now that's funny! By the way, you said 'chipping' didn't make him go faster? That's odd, 'cos our dog runs twice as fast when you wave one at him - - and even faster if you show him the whole bagful! Thats nothing,if i give my dog a chip he looks for bit of fish too.though he cant handle the little wooden fork, tries to eat that as well.greedy little sod.but love him to bits.

  2. A large part of the M11 is not only 2 lanes only, but has no cctv or speed cameras. Using it a lot as I do from The m25 all the way to Cambridge and beyond, I think I can safely say that it is probably populated by the most idiot drivers I have ever seen. The use of indicators and mirrors is forbidden (if they have ever been noticed on the car ), speed limits are targets not limits and there to be doubled if possible... And of course although banned, the odd tractor is not unknown! A big chunk was even shut on Monday due to 'over running road works'! The OP asked how he could explain what happened, simply by telling us he probably got the clue, and to accuse him of causing the accident by stubbornness frankly is really ott unless a previous poster was there at the time and knows all the facts. How many times have YOU been 'pulled out on' by another motorist, or even lorry drivers (who seem to think it's funny to overtake one lorry doing 56mph when they can only do 56.5mph, (again a regular occurrence on the M11)

  3. Looks like a borderline write off to me because of the rear wheelarch damage. It doesn't look like its too bad a job though. The doors are easy as are the bumpers and wing, but that arch could be an issue. Depends how averse you are to going through your insurance and how badly you want to keep the car. If you don't want to claim through your insurers you might want to get a quote from an independent bodyshop that has been recommened to you. If it was my car (and my massive taxi insurance premium) I'd check the local body shop and if it was more than £1,500 I'd go through the insurance. But as others have said, without witnesses or details of the guy who caused it then the chances are it'll go against you. What I would suggest is contacting the Police for that area and tell them what happened. You never know, a witness might have rung in when they got home - I've reported my details as a witness in the past for similar incidents.
