In wonder if anyone on here did a DIY decontamination of the exterior of the air con unit before?

I did it on 2 if my cars:

1st car: spray specialist decontamination into air vents (just a temp fix)

2nd car: rip out floor carpets and foot rest to reveal air con evaporator inlet tubes, detach tubes and spray INTO evaporator. U know it's working as u see the foam drip from under the car. This method was pretty successful :)

This week i have noticed a big difference between driving the Yaris and jumping back into my Auris, I think i'm due an air con service, mine is not cold, never mind ice cold. Definitely no puddles under mine after a long drive .

I'll get it done while it is in for its service and MOT. Will need it for the holiday in August.

Funny how you don't notice it gradually fading, but then get into somebody else's and wow that is cold.

Cool

Get it? COOL?

Ok

Book me car in at Toyota Inchcape Burton for £15 air con decontamination

Strange, they said they already got my car details on their system???

In fact this is the SAME franchise my car was an ex-demo for

My car is going HOME!

Hi, Just bought genuine Toyota touch up paint kit on e-bay £9:00. Just type Toyota paint (and your paint code) in search. Got from 'toyotaofficalstore' took 3 days.

I have used the same eBay store myself. So I can also confirm they are competitive and have what my local dealer didn't.

Just a pitty somethings they don't have, one thing i had to look elsewhere for was a matching alloy wheel. Found one for 60 quid inc delivery, so I have a spare one now.

Last night top up with Asda fuel (usually I only use Shell - but on long journeys I would add cheap fuel):

1. Rest average mpg

2. Drove home on bypass

3. Average 47mpg

4. This morning drive average 42mpg

5. Just got off motorway after 40 combined miles from Asda and got...

I supposed mostly downhill motorway helped

I wonder how they calculate the average, as I am showing between 61 and 67. I did do 40 miles on the motorway at 60 and then drove from Preston to Doncaster mostly at 75.

I have started using b more now.

I'll take a pic before I leave Doncaster on Saturday and another when I get home.

Doing well Wayne, 61.9 and 89.2 - I'd take those any day.

Were these figures muchos improved from what you were getting before the Toyota service?

Oh and that outrageous £70 odd you paid for breakdown - was that for a year or for 5 years? Why no Green Flag, get it from the street vendor scallies outside Asda for about £30 to £35 any day of the week.

Talking of which I was in Asda butchers dept the other day and bet him £50 he couldn't reach the meat off the top shelf. He sais "No chance, the steaks are too high".

Think my best average in summer on summer wheels was 53mpg (mostly city and bypass driving and in ECO mode with ocassional into PWR bands) over a full tank
