hmm, what do i know..

well, for a fact:

There will be a diesel. The engines will be V6 rather than straight six. Its styling will be based on the E-FS concept.

Things ive heard mentioned are:

A coupe version, a softop version, a hybrid, 4wd

But i dont know if these are true or not???

from the options you have weighed up Ian then it looks as though the TT is the best contender

.........

look at that! i said something nice about the TT!!!

personally i dont rate it whatsoever, but well leave my opinion at that and for the good of the topic i will agree with you that it seems the better option for you. shame about the Nissan not being able to deliver 100% though as that is one heck of a gorgeous motor!

And the 350Z is very tempting, just a shame it doesnt really meet any of my criteia.. not that will stop me!

I just dont know!!! :crybaby:

thanks Rob...

I need a week or two without being told how good the 350Z is...

But, back onto the cars, the Z4/Elise/S2000 are off the list due to the insurance costs..

But, im a bit lost to what to look at now.. hmmm, i've just had a wonderful thought...

Fidge, its a corsa, which i have slated in the past, but hey its paid for by them, so in effect its cheap motoring, my try and negotiate, we will see.

I was being sarcastic about making me feel lowly, hell there is a reason you can look at nice cars...you've earned it fidge, and dont even let people make you feel bad for something you've earned ever!!

Just watch out for the tax-man!!!

I'm getting very tempted to change my car...

current ideas are:

Lotus Elise (series 2)

Very fast, lots of fun... not very practical for work, maybe uncomfortable for distances?

VX200 Turbo

As above, slightly cheaper, comfier... but has a vauxhall badge!

Mini Cooper S

More practical, loads of fun... expensive for what it is

also considering - Z3, boxster and new astra...

any comments or help welcome...

okay, heres the revised list!

Keep the IS200

Most practical and sensible choice...

Nissan 350Z

Doesnt fulfil any requirements, except its good looking and a sports car... but somehow the most desirable!

Audi TT

A semi-practical proposition, but not sure about the image

BMW 320i Convertible

A possibility, not sure about the image though.

******************************************

I'm looking for suggesstions to add to this list...

Ideally, used car, less than 3 years old. Cost less than 20K (but 25k the absolute max).

Either 2+2 coupe, or 2 seater sports.

Reasonable insurance/running costs.

4WD a bonus, but not show stopper. convertable would be nice..

No bigger than the IS, would prefer something smaller...
