Hello all I was reading this thread with great interest. Can I ask the OP what his end result was? I’m thinking of giving my 15 plate x play aygo to a local firm to upgrade. They have said keep factory HU and upgrade only looking at £150 for it with all the sound deadening in the door panels. Should I let them take a crack at it or am I going to be throwing my money away on something I could easily do myself? Thanks in advance.

another alternative would be fit the biggest Speakers you can in the rear shelf , maybe 6x9"  you could brace a used shelf with mdf or make one and cover it  they would be the biggest improvement
