Of all the suggestions I think a better 12volt battery would be the most appreciated and most useful.

As argued by Cyker, a larger or better Battery just kicks the can down the road.  The issue is parasitic drain over time. Where a small Battery might permit 14 days without driving one 50% larger would increase that to 21 days.  That might solve the problem for most people but not all.

As parasitic drain is unavoidable a technical solution would be better.

Agreed. To avoid lugging a larger, heavier Battery around, it would be better to understand what it is that needs that power and how it could be optimised. It could be a software issue. Some may remember the problems on the early RX400h. These would die at any random moment (like while waiting to board a ferry. Thank you very much!). I'm sure Toyota is aware, the question is whether it is causing enough pain for them to do something about it.

One more annoying thing for me is that the infotainment system won’t show the whole title of the song  if it’s too long. There’s plenty of space on the screen, they could add another line or they could use “flowing text”

Another data compatible USB port

Ability to listen to radio when power is off (unless its there already and I'm missing it)

Somewhere to rest your foot when off the throttle.

The best technical solution and what we all want is reduced parasitic drain! This used to be a max of around 1mA per module (in my old automotive design days) However technnology has moved on a lot since then - allowing for vastly reduced drain on certain modules - but conversely vastly increased drain due to connected services etc. However I'm sure (or maybe just hoping) the vehicle manufacturers and the module designers / suppliers are working hard on this, as it has become such a major issue. My daughters basic 2017 Ford Ka+ can sit for several months and start at the first turn of the key. Our modern, high tech hybrids can only dream of doing this. Progress? - hmmmm.....

I've gone through  the obd port and accessed any window that is open to close when locking vehicle with fob and to open all windows with fob.

Also done the auto rear wiper when fronts is on when reverse is engaged. My partner had a 2004 corsa auto and that had auto rear wiper back then. I don't know why they can't enable stuff like this from new.

Exactly - you have to purchase (or find someone with) an OBD port unit to program things like this.

These should be standard.

+1 for that. I can't see why these settings aren't accessible through the touchscreen menus.

I've just added another.... when you tap the indicator stalk it flashes 3 times , I've upped it to 4.

It would be nice and a lot easier for the prospective customers to choose which model to pick

ie... icon is a basic model with no extras

Design has everything the icon has plus 2 extra

GR the same plus 2 extra

     Excel gets the full monty

All you have to do is choose paint.

But with new 23 models it's changed again looks like they're swapping things over again.

Just FYI the dealer will happily make those changes; I had them done during service at no charge.

The more annoying thing is they don't mention that these things are even available; I think it should be something the salesperson asks you so they can set it up to your preference before you collect the car.

As it is, you'd only know about it from reading on here or if you deciphered what the meaning of the A, B and C columns were in the settings bit of the manual!

And yes I also find the specs a bit confusing, esp. as some of the higher specs loose things from the lower specs (Like the ability to be blue!!). I also preferred the old naming convention - T2, T3, T4, T-Spirit - Instantly understandable what is the highest trim and what order. Sometimes had specialist trims like T-Sport which were side-grades, but it still made sense. The current Icon/Design/Dynamic/Icon Tech/Excel/Excel Nav etc. is not clear and the specs are all over the place.

While I'm whining about spec, I still want my Kitchen Sink spec, which just has every option the car can possibly built with on the car, so none of this Euro-spec gets heated seats and Jap-spec gets 360-degree camera but UK-spec can't have either even in top trim silliness!

+1

It is entirely stoopid to have differing specs for differing countries.
