Selling the motor, but curious as to what other peeps think I should buy instead. Bear in mind I could get £6 K for it.. possibly more.

Who voted scooby ? :censor:

Me, LOL - I thought Jim might be interested in getting a puppy.

(desperately trying to cover up the fact that I meant to press "keep the ruddy MR2" but missed).

I put down "Other" as you should go for a MR2 tubby or GT4. My gut feeling is stick with what you know - Toyota

The engine bays are easier to work on, but they don't look as good as the 2

hehe i know what they look like, i got one next door to me

thats been dumped on his driveway for a year!

It sounds terrible, oh and it has a flat tyre now

the guy decided to buy it off a friend for a tenner <_<

I would keep the 2, Jim. Unless you need more seats. Neither the GT4 or the Supe has particularly practical rear seats, but both are worthy contenders.

If you want a stealth rocket ship, take a look at the Mitsubishi Galant VR4. 2.5 litre V6 twin turbo. 280 bhp stock! It has the 4wd running gear from the EVO, but looks like your average 4 door saloon. Loads cheaper than an EVO, but you would be looking at the bottom end of the market with your budget.

Flag the Galant....the turbo's are to small & forget modding it unless you have plenty of $$, IF you were going galant the the 1988-1992 VR4 shape is a better unit.

Knowing Jim off these forums I'd say there is really only on choice....Evo, 1-3, nothing higher.

Cheers

I think the 2 is the best you can get for that price range. Thats why i chose one! But, another that came close on my list was the mitsubishi 3000gt. Its not been mentioned but its gotta be a contender. i think theyre wicked. B)
