well said! if these fords are so unreliable...then how come no-one i know has had any problems? my aunty has had a focus estate for 3 years and no problems! my neighbour has a fiesta flame for 2 years and no problem! 3 of my mates have focus's and have had no problems. me other neighbour had an escort for 5 year and no problem! my gilfriends aunty has also had an escort for a while and no problems! she also now has a focus and no problems!

all this crap for nothing! alot of people being childish! i posted a thread with pictures for those who were curious! people have posted pictures of civics for gods sake! oh then again thats a jap car, anything that aint jap must be crap!

oh and yes the yaris is a very nice car indeed, but it doesnt mean everything else compared to it is crap!!

Personal Opinion means nowt anyway - because we ain't racing all our cars against each other - It's not GT4 so a few gee gee's under the hood make NO differance. If the Ford goes wrong - FORD will fix it - the warrenty can help there....... Yaris, Celica, Supra et al go wrong too........

I have a Celica and it suits me fine but a Mustang owner may think I'm daft to have one - Who cares.......... NOT ME..........

Breezer - JUST DRIVE AND ENJOY and if you want a Toyota Owners Club sticker for the Fiesta's back window - call me.........

this forum does my head in sometimes!! wot is so bloody spectacular about a yaris!!? if someone gave me the choice between that fiesta and a yaris, id have the fiesta!! just because it's not a toyota doesn't mean its bad - there's no way i'll be getting another toyota after this one - there are other good cars out there!

Its all personal choice - I would choose a Yaris - you would choose a Fiesta - fair dos to you.

I dont mind Fiestas but i like my Toyotas but im bias i have two.

TBH did you expect to put a Ford on a Toyata forum and not have it slated thats like asking a dog to like cats.

But im not going to knock your car as im not like that so enjoy it look after it have fun it but dont force people to like it as everyone is different

I had a fiesta before the yaris, did the job i guess, but was an old one so was kinda on its way out, have to admit i had no trouble and remember really liking it. but i suppose you always remember you first car.

But compared to a yaris pleeeeeeeeeeeease no contest.

Fords are great cars, i really like them.

The dealers are terrible... they take your money then don't give a flying hoot afterwards.

This is why i won't buy a ford again, the dealers suck........... end of.

i'm not saying Mr T is any better, but he can't be worse.

The gauges, especially the chrome rings around them, remind me a bit of Mk4 Volkswagen (that's a compliment!)

It's too bad we don't get these here. We get nothing from Ford smaller than the Focus, and we don't even get the Mk2 Focus. We get a Mexican built Mk1 with lesser build quality than what you have on that side of the Atlantic.

The closest thing I've seen to the Fiesta here (aside from 20 something year old Fiestas which we DO have) is the Ford Ka. Ford does not sell them in the U.S. but they do in Mexico and we have quite a few drivers with Mexico plates here in Arizona.

Ford quality is questionable, but be glad at least you lot have the European built Fords. I can assure you the Mexican built ones are beyond crap.

Was actually a car I looked at - narrowed my choices to the Fiesta, focus or Yaris, and chose the Toyota in the end, because for me, it was cheapest to insure, run, etc.

I test drove a focus, and that put me off fords - it was very sluggish (even for a 1.4!), compared to the 1.0 and 1.3 Yaris', and the dealership was naff.

Enjoy it mate - it's your car for 3 years now. A leats you didn't get a Micra! :D

I ain't gonna slate Ford, because they do make some good cars, but I do know of some Ford owners who have problems, but they're mostly old cars, and they are the odd few - the rest have been going strong for 10 years or so.

Thank funk you didn't buy a Ka as well!!!! :D
