  2. In answer to your question: yes I am afraid it is a typical Aygo thing! Doesn't happen too often but I have seen ice on the inside of the windscreen of my Aygo and I have never seen it on any other car I have owned over the last 40+ years of driving!

  3. Your contract is with the person you bought it off, take it back and have it properly assessed. If you do not think it is right, and he says it is, get him to pay for an RAC inspection and see what they have to say. If you take it elsewhere you will have to pay yourself for any repair or report

  4. The HT lead is clipped in a couple of places - simply unclip, so you end up with sufficient slack to fully withdraw the HT connector.

  5. a few things.. 1 - D4D 5th gear synco becomes notchey and crunches due to people driving the car in the wrong gear. 2 - The old 2C-TE engine and the 1cd-ftv is are both very robust designs. Dont really suffer from engine faliure but i would also like to say that the in the taxi fleet sveral engines dropped valves at higher mileges. (were talking 450k) 3 - wear and tear is good and the car does hold up really well. 4 - if your steering wheel does not lock or click it is an issue with locking forks in the steering colum. 5- if the belt on the steering pully is on too loose or too tight it will squeal. 6- the crank pully rubbers do deteriate but properly checked should not be an issue 7- more common faults are steering rack bushes / pinions 8- door seals wearing out 9- hinges having play when not greased or oiled 10- abs sensor issues 11- rusty bolts snapping in the engine / body work!
