  1. Something I've noticed on the IQ range is that unless you know what to look for there is no way of differentiating between an IQ1, 2 or 3. Other models such as Ford Ka 2 and Skoda Roomster 2 have little number 2's to the right and above the model badge. I went on ebay and tried a universal 2 which when put on looked awful but have now found the ideal badge. It's off a skoda roomster and I managed to get it off ebay for 1.99. Looks quite good me thinks. I've attached some pictures.

  3. Forget the Air Con its only needed for a few months each summer if your lucky anyway,i would be fitting a shorter auxiliary drive belt as in one without aircon and you'll see an improvement in economy or at least you should do.

  4. Yes I am old and really miserable (hence my name). I hope you never win the lottery and try to buy a supercar. They have all moved away from manual gearboxes,Aston,AMG,Ferrari,Lambo to name a few. In fact the general talk is that within a few years the manual box will be dead and buried. I use the flappy paddles a lot (yes I get engine braking (correct spelling) ). Trying to wiggle a stick about while pressing a pedal is slow and really antiquated. Also modern boxes give better economy than their manual counterparts. Many years ago someone put a Spitfire engine (27 litres) in a car body to use on the road. He tried all sorts of gear boxes and clutches but nothing could handle the sheer TORQUE. The answer was a Borg Warner automatic gearbox,it handled the power with no problem. Sorry but the manual gearbox will soon take its rightful place in a museum :-))

  6. Thx ! I wanted this car because it offers a decent amount of luxury unusual for it's class. And after placing my rear end in the driver's seat of this Tardis box on wheels, I was sold on it"s concept ! It's an amazing feat of engineering which I can appreciate.
