  1. I don't find acceleration a problem with mine at all, and I often leave it in Eco mode. Flooring it will make the wheels spin fairly easily, and it can get up to motorway speeds quickly enough.

  2. Yeah, standard mid model life upgrade, so 2006 to 2012 will be fine.

  3. As far as I'm aware, the Rav4 received the Optimal Drive engines in 2009, with a facelift in 2010.

  4. Hello Johnny, nice Estima you have there. The T or L on the back denotes which Toyota factory the Aeras was built in. My first one was a Estima Emina G grade, 2.2 diesel, automatic 1994 L reg, 7 seater. I had it 4 years. Traded it in in 2011 for a mk2 W reg 2000 2.4 Aeras 8 seater. I'd still be using it but for fact radiator and engine went when I broke down a month or so ago. I now have a 8 seater 03, 2.4 Aeras T. Similiar to yours 15 years old and in good nick with a fairly low mileage for year. They are fun to drive. I have still to sort out the radio connections for my Pioneer AVH A3100DAB, to the factory fitted cameras. Other than that everything else works fine. Michael

  5. Are you specifically talking about automatic transmissions? Because this is a good practice in mechanical transmissions, especially going downhill since this way you don't overheat your brakes with very serious consequences. Engine braking is a good thing guys.

  6. Just Put a fuel additive in .. I used Wynn Formula Gold Petrol Treatment 500ml £16 Been for a long drive ..... worked the car hard .... did up to 50 in 2nd gear to get revs high , then into 3 rd I'm normally in 4 th at 30 mph .... felt strange ...but the car was responsive and not crying for a gear change it's driving a lot better and certainly back to Normal .... maybe I need to do this more often and it's just a round the town car mostly thanks for all the help everyone.... much appreciated

  7. Hi, I got my 2003 2.4 Areas g spec, 8 seater. undersealed as soon as it got off the boat. So clean. 50,000 miles!! An absolute pleasure to drive. Just need to get some curtains in it and it will double up as the new surf bus. The seats go down into a very comfortable double bed too. People cannot believe its 15 years old. Definitely will import another without any worries. A lot of bang for your buck!😎😋 Happy driving! Johnny
