    Hi

Hi I'm Bruce and live in rural Kent, in the UK. My daughter just bought a nice Aygo -Express - Black with Red Accents and a Semi-Automatic Gear Box. We have had a couple of issues with the car, the most disappointing of which has been the Toyota Installed Sat Nav System that arrived with the Maps Reading completely upside down. Slightly frustrating as I told our dealer that I suspected that the cables from the reverse switch on the gearbox were most likely crossed over. They didn't seem to like me telling them this and said it was very unlikely. Well it was that. Apart from that we really like the car which looks lovely and actualy performs better than I expected and was told it would.

  2. Had this debate myself and went for the Goodyear Efficient Grips a couple of months back. Really happy with them, quieter than the Michelin Primacys that were on it before, much better grip and also 3mpg better consumption than the Michelins despite the colder weather. 1.8 petrol was 38mpg now 41mpg - used for commuting on same journey every day so fairly fair indicator. Would thoroughly recommend them....... although don't know about wear though yet!

  4. the person that wants to buy an auris as country lad said probably isnt going to be a boy / girl racer so the appeal will be to a limited audience but if it where again as country lad has said a corsa the market will be bigger.

  5. Wot eygo said. Now, if it had been a Corsa, you could have added almost literally hundreds to it by kitting it out with a baked bean can exhaust and painting the brake calipers red and the headlamps purple. But on an Auris? It's not quite the thing for ripping up the Tesco car park in your hoodie. But for all that, there's a buyer for every car. If it looks a bit racy and it's tidy and the interior's good, there'll be somebody who fancies something a bit different. I wouldn't expect to get anything extra from a trade-in, though - people at an auction tend to assume that body-kitted cars have been hammered, so it might even count against you. Maybe even a local paper ad would be better? Make sure you've got some killer photos!

  6. any modifications like the bodykits and exhausts never add extra £'s onto the value of a car unless you find someone who is looking for a car with the mods you have done and they will pay the bit extra. even on a brand new car add the options on and it may add 5-6K to the purchase price but at resale you will only get a few hundred pounds more for them.

  8. I can highly recommend putting the bolts in a vinegar & salt concoction to remove rust. I've done this on bolts for my Corolla and it gets rid of the rust really well. Then paint them maybe? Or electrolitically zinc coat them?
