  3. Doesn't sound like it's obviously slipping I'd wait until you can definitely detect it. a clutch can be high up on the biting point for some time. if you squirt grease under the rubber bellows of the clutch slave cylinder and any joints near there and maybe the pedal linkages too it should take away the creaking.

  5. Hello barchetta, You've replaced the discs and pads and yet you described continued vibration under braking only which would tend to suggest it's not a wheel balance issue. If you discount the new discs being warped, that leaves you with a problem with one or both drive flanges. These flanges can accumulate festerage which might cause the symptom you described, and before the new discs were fitted they should have been cleaned thoroughly and there should be no lumps or bumps on the mating surface. If they are clean and flat, then I suggest getting a DTI on them and checking that the run-out is within tolerance. I'm assuming the wheel bearings and steering joints are all good. Hope this helps. 7. Yes it is pointless and nothing but a distraction as you scan the instruments to try and locate a message. Why not have a spoken warning instead of a beep?

  8. It was posted elsewhere on here that it's not a great idea to pair aluminium bodied TPMS sensors with steel wheels, because of the risk of differential corrosion. Personally I'd go with 16" alloys. In the UK I'd look at https://www.oponeo.co.uk, who, I'm sure, operate in Europe too. As to tyres, Nokian are a reasonable and not too expensive brand, but http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk has lots of tests and info. ETA: Re TPMS, if you don't want to swap the TPMS valves over, or get your dealer to code the winter wheel ones to the car, and back again in summer, then it would be worth investing in one of the devices available to clone TPMS sensors, so both sets of wheels have the same codes. Autel do a TS401 that will do the job (no need to reprogramme the ECU) plus their own sensors at around €25 each.

  9. Not really a case of cutting corners, more a case of keeping within a defined budget.

  11. I guess this happens because they didn't use high quality plastics as they wanted to keep the production costs down. Keep in mind that Aygo is the cheapest Toyota car available and profit margins for such a car are pretty tight, so they have to cut corners...

  14. I certainly hope we can retrofit some of these things to our cars. I've only had mine for a month. Great car, but absolutely rubbish 'entertainment system'. Android auto retrofit would be a godsend. Even the power tailgate would be useful. Let's see!

  15. Hello, I've had my Corolla Touring Sports Icon Tech for about 2 months now. I ordered mine in blue and was told it'll be about a month for delivery, this soon increased to 6 weeks, then 2 months. In the end it took about 3 and a half months to be delivered. It was well worth the wait though, it's an amazing car to drive. I live in the south east close to London and I'm now starting to see more Corolla's on the road not many Touring Sports though.

  17. You can do it in several ways: - Go to that website, find the button on the right hand side of the screen saying 'E-mail deze gebruiker' (send e-mail to this user) and write your mail. - Phone to the number given on that site (above the button with e-mail deze gebruiker). Notice that it's The Netherlands you are calling towards, so call 00 - 31 - 6 - 55728611 (assuming international is 00 from the UK, no need to pause between any of the numbers.) It is up to you to arrange the transportation and stuff, and to ask for specifics about this tailgate. As i wrote in my previous message, i am assuming the postage only would be somewhere between 25 and 40 euro's(<< link in there), depending on the total weight. But i am sure it would have to be packed too and picked up, but that's up to you to discuss. I have seen on TNT netherlands website that there are possibilities to let them pick up packages on location for a small extra price. Questions about that can de sent directly to TNT (<< link in there too!) As far as i know this tailgate is black, 2005 RAV4 version, and in good condition and complete. Greetz Pim
