How about some photos in the snow, people? :D

Here ye go. A wee offroad trip up the hills in snow and ice. Getting up the hill was easy, getting back down in the ice was a different matter!

Took my 2003 4.2 D4D on a 2043 km journey feb. 3-5, from Bergen, Norway to Ullared (Close to Gothenburg), Sweden and back. While crossing the mountains of inland Norway the winds picked up. At one point visibility was down to a few feet. Had my passenger record a video to show just how quick and scary a whiteout can be:

At 0:55 you can hear the ABS kick in as I'm a little hard on the brakes when passing other cars.

At 1:30 total whiteout occurs

Super Stuff Sensei, good to see the RAV working well!

Reminds me of my Norwegian holiday just over 10 years ago, but of course, not quite so much snow then :D.

Although it was June and some of the mountain roads still had the "snow walls" along each side, which I'm sure you are very well familiar with.

Fantastic country (well at least in the summer ;)) and great roads. You are very "lucky".

Maybe I'll come back one day

When my 3dr Rav 4.1 gives up (she has to at some point), going to for a Rav4.2 NRG with similar styling, I already have the rare TTE upper and lower mesh grills and the really rare TTE driving light kit too stashed up in the loft. Just need to kep an eye out for 18" lexus alloys and TTE spoiler.

Im really liking the painted mudguards and bull bar, very smart.

Hello Campers....

Have put this phoaty in here for no other reason other than that nobody seems too bothered about posting photos of their beloved Ravs these days.....maybe all too busy getting engines rebuilt....?

Big Kev

The girls just love my much debated rims! They are literally a pu**y magnet! :yahoo::naughty:

kittenf.jpg

Ok, the true story behind the picture: a kitten went under the car and went inside the rim. Somehow it managed to climb up behind the wheel hub taking cover behind the brake rotor. It was hissing and scratching at everything that got close. I put on a work glove and managed to lift it out. We found the mother closeby and they were reunited.

If that happened to me, I could always say I had to "de-cat the D-CAT....?"
