  1. Hi All, Anyone had the OBD II Wifi Tool working on the Toyota Hilux 2006 or later models? I have a OBD II Wifi module, it works on a Triton 3.0, Navara , but not on my Hilux :( If you know how to make it work, or if there's a catch to get it working please do let me know. Thanks in advance

  4. Try you local Toyota dealer for the iQ spare bulb pack. It contains one of each type of bulb (including the HIR2) and come in slightly cheaper than a single HIR2 bulb found on the internet.

  6. From memory although i wasn't involved in the threads. One of the common bulbs can have a tag cut off it to fit the iq. I abandoned all that and fitted HID's but as you all know. There is always the debate of legality no auto leveller and no lens cleaner. If required i switch them back for the MOT David

  7. OK, but not sure which part of the thread equaled - Abusive, Invasive and Anti-Social Behaviour. It got a bit debated yes, but didn't think it had gone too far?

  9. As regards supermarket and oil company branded petrol and diesel fuel, yes the base products are the same. However the additives they add to the tanker before transportation to the service stations are different. Hence the differences between brands.

  10. Sorry - I didn't mean to offend. Without wishing to be insensitive to your sad loss, I think you will find " grave " in this context means requires serious thought. As in "grave decision" or specifically "grave news" i.e. news that needs to be carefully considered.

  11. Good choice and get rid soon, they're already coming down in price. Look at this for 63-plate 2014 with only 1500 miles on the clock: http://www.motorpoint.co.uk/VehicleSearch/TOYOTA/IQ/1.0%20VVT-I%203DR It looks to me like used IQ prices are about to tumble ? Now in my view that's a good price for a new IQ less than £8,000, for a new 2014 IQ, with only 1,500 miles on the clock, and five years Toyota warranty ! Perhaps I should sell mine QUICK ! that has already done 40,000 miles and just buy a cheap new one ?

  12. Windows 7 has a tool called Snipping tool. Simply select the bit of screen you wish to record and save it. Simples. Craig.

  13. Ha ha .. yes the "Go Fun Yourself" tag line will come back to bite them .. there will not be a poster anywhere that will not be subject to some form of modification by a wag with a spray can. I guess no one at Toyota GB feels empowered to point out the possible implications. As for fugly.... it may look better in the metal .. but I still think it looks interesting. The video is aimed at the generation who are the target audience ... both my daughters are in their 20s and are well impressed ... the Manga association sold it. Maybe they should have done the same with the iQ along the lines of the massive campaign that drove sales of the Fiat 500

  14. I think when a car is no longer made, people assume that in a short time after purchase that the parts will no longer be available. As we know this is not true David

  15. I have a copy of the Auris Hybrid brochure (dated January 2012) and that shows Touch & Go for both models. Probably yours is an earlier production model that wasn't registered until sometime in 2012. As regards the steering wheel, yours has the standard fit wheel for the non Touch & Go stereo.

  16. Is it just me that finds the front end of that new Aygo to be fugly? Resale values are funny, they seem to drop steeply once a car's no longer made - or at least they have done with the cars I've had in the past!

  17. The fastest way is to use a program called Greenshot, then you can capture anything locally on screen, you can the upload the media using the more reply options: Then add to your post ... Simples Click to enlarge

  18. Ok, just been playing around. I didn't know once a screen shot has been pasted in to a Word doc that you could then save the picture as a JPEG, PNG or other format. So now I know that here you are :) I should also add to get to this stage of engine removal there is a fair list of bits and bobs to be removed firsthand, but seeing as Aaron isn't actually removing the engine as such I have skipped past those. I think the key part here is the rope in step one, without that the engine will tip forwards and could cause damage if not secured as so. Hope this helps.

  21. See: http://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/130472-mp3-adapter-a-solution-for-navigation-systems/?hl=grom That's exactly the same as mine. There isn't a cd multi changer fitted as standard. The head unit has a socket in the rear for a changer - this is where the mp3 adaptor plugs in. The cd slot is behind the screen - the screen tilts open for access.

  23. You should go for coilovers japanbeast, otherwise the lowering won't be too big. 35mm is the maximum you get with most springs.

  24. The T3X will do as that ones the same as my T-spirit, but only from a cd with mp3 format on it and it will take 6 cd's in the slot. So 8 to 12 albums per cd depending on the bitrate/compression and x 6 cd's that's a lot of music ... more than enough for me anyway. Pete.

  25. Adapters are widely available which plug into the Cd changer port. My 58 plate (sat nav) required a GROM unit which I sourced from eBay. I posted a thread a while back. I recall that the various manufacturers quoted the head unit serial number which will be on the front of your unit. Yatour and X-car link also manufacturer kit which may be compatible.
