  1. Toyota GB seem to have made changes to My Toyota last week, including combining access to portals - which doesn't seem to have worked particularly well ! After I had contacted Toyota GB last week, they advised that any owner having problems with My Toyota should contact Toyota GB directly - see: https://www.toyota.co.uk/caring-for-your-toyota/owners/owners.json#/iframe/http%3A%2F%2Fforms.toyota.co.uk%2Fcontact-us

  2. You should confront that dealer right away and challenge him on his assertion because it is NOT true!! Looks to me as if he is trying to keep his options open in regard to ripping you off! THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS AN "APPROVED TOYOTA USB STICK"!! I'm guessing that your dealer is a bit of a technical numpty and has probably translated this... To do this, insert the fingerprint USB stick into your home PC or laptop with the Toolbox programme open. Accept the update, and then open the “Downloads” section of the Toolbox. Select the download (application or map update) that you require and once it is paid for (if payment is required) you can download the update to the USB stick from the “Updates” section of the Toolbox. (from Toyota's blog page) ...as meaning that a "fingerprint USB stick" is somehow a "special" stick because he fundamentally doesn't understand the technology himself...

  3. Ignoring initial fill on delivery (44.79 in 45 litre Auris tank!!); I've never got more than 40.02 litres in after running down to "zero" - so about 100km left

  5. I'm with you. I've driven Yaris (and Auris) hybrids with CC, and it works exactly the same in all of them. I use mine whenever possible for exactly the same reasons. I only wish it worked at 20 mph, as there are some mile long 20 stretches in Norfolk and Suffolk, and it needs frequent glances at the speedo - it's such times I'm particularly grateful for the Prius' heads Up Display.

  6. They're wrong, that should be £95 fitted under the fixed price service that UK dealers provide.

  7. The 1.4 and 1.6 VVTi engines were carried over from the Corolla, and then replaced in 2009 with the Dual VVTi 1.33 and the 1.6 Valvematic.
