Cool

Or take wheel of and the spec should be stamped on back inside like "50x7J"

Then Google tyre size ranges for your spec (size, offset etc)

Also search on this forum as many would have asked the same question as u (I did, but my thread too long for me to search thru )

Actually better for u to start a new thread and ask - u will get more responses than on my old thread on here! Lol

I have a spare alloy without a tyre on it, so looking at the wheel is no problem. Right so i just need to find something like 50x7j and i can google that.

Just checked. 17 J7

So I can have the 225 45 R17. So all I have to do is decide the rainsport or cross climate tyres now. Hopefully the tyres will be still good enough for my trip to Germany in 3 months time., otherwise no spending money ;-)

Excellent :)

U just need to decide which one to go for now (RS or CC)!

Personally I prefer RS as better in summer/wet, but I just too wimpy in snow/7degrees so opted for CC!

U enjoy Germany!

I filled up today and managed to squeeze in 32.2 litres in. No my range to empty is showing 467, so that's another 16. Must be the warmer weather as my first trip into work (3.5 miles) is working out at 55, instead of below 40.

I have decided to go for the cross climate tyres.

Probably next month.

Personally I never use anything else than ECO. If i Burying my foot into the carpet the car still shifts :-D

Not regretted buying this car, how about you?

Wow

55 mpg - that's awesome!

I never get 55mpg (unless I cruise - lol)

Not sure if still cheaper

But I became a paid member on here and took the discount for buying the CrossClimate - they were the cheapest on here at the time :)

Why don't u check out the members discount - the saving might even pay for your membership fee :)

i used to have a few faster cars, so I missed that. But apart from that, no I love the reliability and savings on my Hybrid :)

Best of British for the MOT Wayne.

Remember, if you have any trouble off them, my offer still stands of sending my grandchildren down to put their windows in......

Cheers bud

Just a few trivial matters to look at:

1. Replaced split rear wiper blade

2. Investigate grinding noise when steering in full lock (both directions)

3. Air con stinks after full air con service within 12months

Anyone know if cheaper to buy touch paint + lacquer from.Toyota or Halfwords or eBay:huh:

Well

Extra £90 on top of MOT/Service then...

1. Knew about rear wipers,

But not front wipers :(

2. 4 wheel alignment

 - had that done when I put wider CrossClimate on

 - but will see...

Ouch.

I take it, nothing was said about you having the 225 instead of 215?

Those 225 babies are legal and befitting for my wheels!

Just Strange that if I had the 4 wheel alignment done WHEN I got my 225s it should be all OK?

But

Just spoke to the service manager:

1. Alignment could be incorrect due to sleeping police man, potholes - fair enough

2. Touch up pen £10

At work we have the heavy duty speed bumps for the trucks, you need to wear a crash helmet, as you can't drive over them straight.

I could do with a touch up pen, to make it better value both my Auris and mothers Yaris are the same colour.

Lol

Halfwords didn't have my pearl White color

Original ones on eBay were selling same or MORE than what Toyota is selling for!

For a tenner u get BOTH the paint + lacquer

But I guess they be like teeny 15ml jars...

Waaaaaait a minute - whit's this squashed CV boot business. Making a grinding noise when car is on full R/H or L/H lock??? WTF. How do rubber joints make a grinding noises mon ami? I smell bovine droppings here, tell them to get that car back up on the ramp and come up with something better than that. I mean you must need about £750 - £900 worth of repairs surely. Wheel laignment out as well - told ye to stop doin' they wheelies, doughnuts and fig 8's in the car park of the Peking Sun.

Still, so long as you've got the MOT cert I take it I can stand down the wrecking crew and get them back to harassing local pensioners.:laugh::laugh::bangin::bangin::bangin:

Lol Tom

Ant

My car s done 49,000 in 4 years

Previously a Toyota ex-demo/rep car

Then 2 owners (husband + wife) did loads of mileage

Then me :)

No longer able to wash car (no space)

So gave her a quick :

1. Wipe on glass and lights and plates

2. Rain-X 2-in-1 glass cleaner all round

I used to prefer proper rain repellant detailing:

 - clean glass

 - clay bar

 - IPA (alcohol)

 - 2 coats of rain repellant (wait then buff)

But got lazy now, so 2-in-1 will do

Sun s, time for barbie at kids Scouts later

I got to hear the previous owners voice, while I was linking my phone up. So I could tell the name she said matched what the v5 had on it.
