I think wireless charging and Apple CarPlay/Android is available with the tech pack on the Yaris Cross.

It’s also standard on models with the 9” Smart connect multimedia system.

Only wireless smartphone integration. Not charging...

That’s disappointing, you’d think that if they go to the trouble of equipping wireless smartphone integration they’d make it wireless charging as well!

That makes sense to me.

All the videos on YouTube show wireless charging on most of the cars from other countries but not on the UK models.

I understand that tech packs differ from country to country but thought that every country would have the same tech availability.

On the other hand I very rarely take a phone out with me anywhere so it's not an issue for me personally. I don't think I've ever charged a phone in a car and I only use built in Sat Navs so dont see that I will ever use Android Auto or Apple Car Play.

Very handy in an accident, a mobile phone. Such as if you decide to go for a walk and you fall and hurt yourself enough that you can't walk. These days for me, no Apple Car Play would be a deal breaker. Waze or TomTom for me, the extra that Toyota charges for the Satnav is too much, especially since after 3 years a license costs £££ per year!

(A Satnav without traffic updates is next to useless, if it even exists any more ?)

Probably more likely to have an accident because someone is using a mobile phone🤷‍♂️

I don't answer the phone in the car. However, I use the Satnav function regularly, and when I lived in the big city, pretty much every time I took the car out.

Tomorrow is D-Day my car is at it's designated dealer in the North West, transport down to me wednesday last week was arranged for Wednesday 17th November but have no idea if that is still the case, Toyota will do all they can to make sure this car is allocated for me, company I originally ordered from will no doubt call me and give me an ear bashing for going direct to Toyota rather than speak to them directly  but they were not doing the right thing by Toyota and hopefully hear what will happen to my car, hear from Toyota Specialist Case Manager tomorrow as well so fingers crossed, was not willing from the company I ordered from that told me same day car had arrived I'd be the second owner after 12 weeks it will be changed over to me so that makes me the 2nd owner.

Just had an update the car at the dealer 270 miles from me has been allocated to me and is not allowed to be sold by that dealer, few more things Toyota need to sort before they can get it delivered to me so fingers crossed it will be soon.

Yes, Toyota seem to have been a bit stingy with the Yaris Cross unfortunately! Please check out my review, I still think it’s a great car especially because of it’s excellent fuel economy.

Delivery????

Ordered Yaris Cross mid-October.  Dealer told me briefly delivery will be approx March 2022.  Phoned this week, to ask for an update, dealer couldn't tell me when delivery will be and will phone back.

What are the chances I will get my car in March?  No options ordered, Excel trim.

People mention My Toyota App - do I just download this - but I have no order number or anything - do I need that or some other information to track my build.

Cheers guys - greatful for any help out there as Toyota don't seem to have the information!

There's a great song called "Martha" (Tom Waits IIRC), anyway... My T is the application and My Toyota is portal on the website. In my case, when I placed my order the dealer also noted my email address.

If you sign into, or create your, My Toyota account on the website, your order number should also be visible under "My order" (or some such, because I don't know how it's worded on www.toyota.co.uk) .

FWIW the My Toyota portal allows you to save configurations (but only guys would do that, wouldn't they ?) follow your order, or if you already have a Toyota set up service appointments and so on.

I don't think anyone could predict the chances of the dealer given date as being possible.

Some people have had very little wait for their cars and others a lot longer and model choice and extras do tend to have a bearing on total wait time.

In my case I've ordered lots of extras and others on this forum and elsewhere online have ordered well after mine and got them before me whereas there are some who ordered before me and are still waiting. I ordered mine on 15th August and was originally told December 31st then the end of September I was contacted by the dealer and told 9th December. A few weeks later I recieved an email saying delivery was still showing as mid December (a vague timescale🤔) then two weeks ago I chased again and was told it was still showing as mid December.

The MyT app has not shown any movement whatsoever so realistically there is no way I'm going to get my car in the next 3 or 4 weeks unless the by some chance the MyT app is not showing car updates.

Perhaps not what you want to hear and maybe not helpful however, in my opinion at least factual.

Do you know the worst thing is the MyT tracking app.

I've been given the dealer date of December but as the app is not even showing the car as being built, it's hard to see this date being met🤷‍♂️

If I'd not had the app I would be none the wiser and would still be expecting December.

To be fair, I won't be annoyed if the car delivery is changed to next year, I understand all the current supply issues. I will however be a touch disappointed😥

On the other hand I do expect the dealer to keep me updated on any changes immediately they themselves are notified without me having to chase them up first.

I suppose I'm glad I did not have the app but having to chase the car up myself as they never kept me upto date was rather annoying, happy it's in the UK awaiting to be in my hands hopefully before Christmas 🙂

App changed this morning adding detail to factory so had a look online using the details posted earlier in the thread, all the nulls have gone, vin number showing and estimated delivery date of 3rd January, shame that Spain will be shut till after the 6th.

Updated to build in progress this morning. The hidden stuff on the web page has an estimated delivery date of 24th January now though which at least agrees with what the dealer has been saying. It goes on a long boat trip from Zeebrugge to Valencia so I guess that will take the bulk of the time.

Still no change for me. No movement on the tracking🤷‍♂️

Whilst I was on there today I thought I might as well build my exact car to see how long the current wait is. Turns out if I was to order now it would be 27 weeks🤦‍♂️

Placed an order yesterday for an Excel in Galactic Blue with the Essential Protection and Adventure pack, they have given me an estimate of mid May to Jun 22!
