There was a '23 plate GR Sport in the village today. Must say it looked very pretty.
I was going to hang around to see if I could ask the owner what he originally ordered and when but thought better of it in the end.

In my experience, dealers usually do not prep the cars and apply paint protection correctly, it is all about do it as quick as possible. I was offered paint protection on a 4 year old car for £300 (from Toyota dealer), when I asked will they tend to all paint chips, strip old protection and do the paint correction before applying ceramic coating, the answer was no, we will just apply it on top. A friend of mine used a ceramic coating specialist and it took two days to prep and apply on a brand new Ford Kuga.

Well, just collected my Rav from the automotive guys and I have to say I'm very pleased with the result. A somewhat dullish factory finish is now gleaming, and I also had the plastics treated. The first time it was washed from new, hubby wasn't overly impressed with the finish, and I was concerned the plastics would dull over time. It was with them 2 days and this is how it looks now.....after driving home down the motorway....in the rain. Well, I'm impressed

Same here. "Coloured in" picture of car compared to previous skeleton outline plus more detail on spec of car.

PHEV Design ordered September 2022, quoted delivering July 2023.

Can I ask what details the selling dealer gave you to put in the app to track delivery?

I think they just need the order number. My app shows in "My Garage" my owned car (current car Prius) and my purchased car with order number (Rav PHEV). The latter has the tracking tool, which over the past 9 months has not moved from phase 1=processing order.

As above, orders are tracked by order number but you need your dealer to set it up for you - you can't do that for yourself. You need a My Toyota account; your dealer needs to associate your order with your My Toyota account ... 🙂

On Saturday ordered a Suzuki Across in silver, this morning I have received an email from Suzuki my order has left the factory, I am a bit shocked with the efficiency. I am provisional expecting the car in mid October.

My car was ordered in October last year, expected delivery is next month in August, the dealer called and said it’s now expected August/September so it’s looking good.

The MyT app changed a couple of weeks ago to show an image of the car instead of just an outline, does anyone have any idea when the app will show it being in production?

I’ve had dreams that it’s gone into production and even left the factory and it’s spectacularly disappointing when you wake up and realise it was just a dream 😂

MyT does not fully work. Well this is what my dealer told me when I was told on MyT that the car was at the dealership. It was a full 2 weeks after before they received it and probably another week to get it ready for me.

Yeah, I second that. Ordered my RAV4 PHEV in May 2022 and the dealer told me that it's being built now with a delivery date around October this year. Both MyT app on my phone and logging into My Toyota web page still shows "Processing Order" status.

Hmm if the times are correct that means mine will be going from the revised August/September to a December delivery, unless dealers have differing delivery schedules/build slot allocation.

Guessing it was cars ordered for stock and the slowdown in the market freeing up availability. Are you going to wait for new September reg to take delivery?

All Suzuki are stock models only there is no factory options, I never worry about new reg plates, I need to get used to the vehicle get a towbar fitted and put some miles on it before towing.

I am always looking to future residuals, especially when so close to a reg change. Unless the dealer is offering additional incentives to get it as sale for this quarter……

Here she is. Original price honoured.

They wrangled it that the registration price under £40,000 so I didn't have to pay the extra VAT in year 2 thru 5. What a result!

A 2023 rav 4 at a 2021 price. 👌

I suspect in reality it will almost match given the trade will know its origins.

Collected the Suzuki this morning 30 litres of fuel and factory floor mats, but no speed limiter ?, shame it the device I use the most.

I contacted my dealer today about when they would need paperwork from me to do with the registration and they told me that my car should be ready the first week of September 😁
I wish the app had told me, I'd have been excited so much sooner.

It’s taken nearly a year since I ordered and the app stayed showing nothing, I was gutted, then all of a sudden it went through build in progress, on the boat and arrived in portbury, since then it’s showed

DERBYSHIRE, UNITED KINGDOM

The wait is almost over! Your RAV4 PHEV is on its way to your dealer. We will notify you as soon as it arrives.

This part seems to be the most painful bit of the wait, it’s been like that for the last couple of days and it feels like a couple of years 🫣
next week, maybe.

Ordered an Excel AWD in Obsidian Blue on 22nd November (my first Toyota), I was told to expect 9 to 12 months for delivery, so we'll see what happens around September next year. I'm assured it will be a 23 MY with the improved infotainment screen etc..

A neighbour of mine recently also took delivery of an Excel, and he told me he waited around 11 months.

Picked it up from showroom last week, a bit over 9 months from ordering. Arrived as ordered, and very pleased except that I'm struggling to understand the massively complicated multi-information display, and having various problems with driver registration in the multimedia system.
